Meet the team behind the Nobody Better Foundation Andy and Melissa Wilson – Co-Founders Melissa and Andy met at Loyola University where they both attended college.   Andy is from Windsor, Ontario Canada and arrived in Baltimore Maryland at 19 to attend Loyola on  a Lacrosse scholarship.   Melissai s from Kensington Maryland, and attended Loyola on a Volleyball scholarship.    Married in 1989, they settled in Columbia Maryland where Andy founded a Wealth Management business and Melissa joined T. Rowe Price.  They raised three wonderful children, Beverly, Spencer and Connor Wilson.   Andy and Melissa are members of Cattail Creek Country Club and Talis Park Golf Club.    Connor Wilson – Board Member Connor Wilson is a student at Indiana University majoring in Public Finance.  Connor graduated from Glenelg Country School in 2023, where he played varsity Baseball, Soccer and Ice Hockey.    Connor is also an avid golfer, and joined the board of the Spencer Wilson Scholarship Foundation in 2024.

We are so grateful that the Cattail Junior Club Championship was named the Spence cup to honor Spencer’s memory. Many Thanks to Cattail Creek members and staff, and congratulations to the Spence Cup Cattail junior club boys and girls 18 hole champions — Nobody Better!

First Annual Scholarships Awarded! Congratulations to the six Cattail Creek scholarship winners

We had an amazing crowd turn out to support the 2nd annual SWSF Golf invitational tournament on July 22nd. Everyone gather for a picture around Spencer’s tree on the first tee.

Remembering Spencer’s Legacy Nobody Better” is a phrase that has come to represent Spencer’s legacy among family and friends, encapsulating for us the many endearing dimensions of Spencer’s personality, generous nature and positive impacts he made on everyone around him. The phrase started with our good friend Pete Laake. When Pete played golf with partners, he would often motivate them by saying “You got this. Nobody Better” right before they hit a big putt or important shot. Spencer played a lot of golf with Pete, and eventually made the phrase his own, on and off the golf course to inspire golf students, friends and family members. We have now adopted the phrase to describe Spencer, as to us there is truly “nobody better,” whether we are referring to his unfailing kindness, dedication to the game of golf, or any of the many beautiful memories of him that we cherish.
